Basketball Recap: Mitchell County Comes Up Short

Mitchell County was the 23-21 winner over Terrell County when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Mitchell County Eagles were beaten by the Terrell County Greenwave 56-28 on Thursday. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Terrell County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chassidy Franklin, who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Jada Rushing, who had 16 points.

Mitchell County's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Terrell County, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

As of now, neither Mitchell County nor Terrell County have any future games scheduled.
