Softball Recap: Winters Comes Up Short

Winters suffered their closest loss since March 29, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of the Hamlin Pied Pipers by a score of 6-4. The Blizzards were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pied Pipers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Chloe Lujano and Keigan Davis stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lujano scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1, while Davis went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Laila Aguero also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Winters now has a losing record of 2-3.

Coming up, Winters will head out on the road to square off against Hamlin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamlin, they will be taking part in a tournament against Dublin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
