Lexington had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Colbert Heights Wildcats. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Golden Bears also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2018.

Kathleen Moncus paced Lexington's offense, picking up five kills. Moncus got some help from Katelyn Sullivan and her 13 assists. Sullivan also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Hale, racking up two apiece.

Lexington now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Colbert Heights, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Lexington has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Phil Campbell on the 11th. As for Colbert Heights, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Colbert County on the 13th.
