Volleyball Recap: Palmyra Has No Trouble Against Weeping Water

Palmyra won the last time they faced Weeping Water and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers put the hurt on the Indians with a sharp 3-0 win. That three set margin sets a new team best for the Panthers this season.

While Palmyra won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-15, 25-19.

Kenli Peterson paced Palmyra's offense, picking up ten kills. Peterson got some help from Audrey Erhart and her 18 assists. Dannica Hose controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Weeping Water's loss came despite strong showings from Ella Huskey and Jaelis Brito- Diaz. Huskey had 13 digs and 13 assists, while Brito- Diaz had 13 digs and one assist. Huskey has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

Palmyra's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Weeping Water, their loss dropped their record down to 4-20.

Palmyra has already played their next contest (against Johnson-Brock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Weeping Water, they will head out to challenge Mead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
