Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Standley Lake). They breezed past the Wheat Ridge Farmers to the tune of 70-0 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Standley Lake's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB seven times. The heavy lifting was done by Rae Coronado Coronado and Samantha Heath, who racked up six sacks between them. Shalini Mathai got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The win made it two in a row for Standley Lake and bumps their season record up to 5-7. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 48.0 points over those games. As for Wheat Ridge, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Standley Lake has already played their next matchup, a 7-0 defeat against Steamboat Springs on the 4th. As for Wheat Ridge, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 66-0 loss against Pomona on the 4th.
