Basketball Recap: Madison-Ridgeland Academy Wins High-Profile Contest Against Desoto Central

On Monday, Madison-Ridgeland Academy faced DeSoto Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Madison-Ridgeland Academy Patriots came out on top against the DeSoto Central Jaguars by a score of 57-48. This was payback for the Patriots, who suffered a 50-47 loss the last time these two teams met.

Madison-Ridgeland Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Erick Dampier, Jr., who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 boards. The dominant performance gave Dampier, Jr. a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Will Bizot, who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 22 points.

The win made it two in a row for Madison-Ridgeland Academy and bumps their season record up to 14-9. As for DeSoto Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-6.
