Volleyball Recap: Madison Central Indians vs. Bryan Station Defenders
After flying high against East Jessamine on Tuesday, Madison Central came back down to earth. The Indians fell just short of the Bryan Station Defenders by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Defenders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on October 2nd.
In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Madison Central sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-17.
Madison Central has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-12 record this season. As for Bryan Station, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-17.
Coincidentally, Madison Central and Bryan Station will both be playing Corbin the next time they take the court. The Defenders will host the Redhounds at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Indians will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
