Football Game Preview: Santa Fe Chiefs vs. El Rancho Dons + Official Tickets

The Santa Fe Chiefs will face off against the El Rancho Dons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Friday, Santa Fe was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-24 to California. The Chiefs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Although Santa Fe took the loss, they still got scores from Xander Arias, Jeremiah Norman, and Cameron Haydon.

Even if they lost, Santa Fe's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Silas Hernandez was especially locked on to California's QB and sacked him twice.

Meanwhile, El Rancho ended up a good deal behind El Segundo on Friday and lost 35-18. While losing is never fun, the Dons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 399th, while the Eagles are ranked 195th).

El Rancho's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Santa Fe, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.

Santa Fe was able to grind out a solid win over El Rancho when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 21-14. Do the Chiefs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
