Baseball Recap: Starkville Academy Comes Up Short

Starkville Academy came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Magnolia Heights Chiefs, falling 11-1. The Volunteers haven't had much luck with the Chiefs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Starkville Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Magnolia Heights, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Chiefs beat Starkville Academy by a score of 13-0 on Thursday.
