Basketball Recap: Whitney Comes Up Short

Whitney was the 45-43 winner over West when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Whitney Wildcats fell 71-60 to the West Trojans on Tuesday. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

It was another big night for Easton Rinewalt, who went 9 for 20 en route to 22 points and six boards for West. Luke Rogers was another key player, putting up seven points and three steals.

Whitney's defeat dropped their record down to 10-18. As for West, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-9.

Whitney will host McGregor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for West, they are taking a road trip to take on Clifton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five matchups.
