Soccer Recap: Queen Creek Takes a Loss

Queen Creek and Pinnacle squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Queen Creek had to settle for second. They fell 2-0 to the Pinnacle Pioneers. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now lost three in a row.

Queen Creek was without their leading scorer, Paizlee Brown, in Tuesday's matchup. With Brown sidelined, Queen Creek had to make some big changes to the lineup. Three players got more time on the pitch than they're used to: Nenna Ford (80), Addi Romero (42), and Allie Covert (31). The trio had averaged 51.8, 21.8, and 14.7 minutes respectively before Tuesday's contest.

Queen Creek's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Pinnacle, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9.

Queen Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinnacle, they will host Mountain View at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
