North Side is 2-8 against Coahoma County since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The North Side Gators will be home for the holidays to greet the Coahoma County Red Panthers at 7:15 p.m. North Side will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 138th, while Coahoma County is ranked 48th).
North Side's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-19 loss at the hands of Cleveland Central. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Side has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Coahoma County earned a 38-30 victory over Holmes County Central on Saturday.
Coahoma County found their leader in underclassman Caleb Hearns, who scored seven points along with 12 rebounds.
North Side's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Coahoma County, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
