Baseball Recap: San Miguel Comes Up Short

San Miguel extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Monday, dropping them down to 0-6. They lost 13-2 to the Willcox Cowboys. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vipers of the 13-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

As for Willcox, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games.

For Willcox's part, Randy Hill got the start for Willcox and what a start it was: he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those six strikeouts gave Hill a new career-high.
