Softball Recap: Hoffman Estates Comes Up Short

Hoffman Estates was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They fell 4-0 to Maine South. If Hoffman Estates was looking for revenge after losing 17-0 to Maine South when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Hoffman Estates' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Maine South, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-10.

Coming up, Hoffman Estates will welcome Wheeling at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 7 runs per game this season. As for Maine South, they will be playing at home against Glenbrook South at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
