Basketball Recap: Tandem Friends Comes Up Short

Tandem Friends played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the Wakefield School Fighting Owls , falling 39-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Badgers were not able to get on the board.

Wakefield School got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joelle Domfeh out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten boards and nine steals. Domfeh is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ceci Turner, who posted 11 points and eight steals.

Tandem Friends has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Wakefield School, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tandem Friends will head out to face off against Foxcroft at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Tandem Friends is facing Foxcroft at the right time seeing as Foxcroft is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wakefield School, they will face off against Highland at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Wakefield School's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Highland's offense will have their work cut out for them.
