Volleyball Recap: Grantsburg Beats Shell Lake for Their Third Straight Victory

Grantsburg entered their tilt with Shell Lake on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Lakers by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Grantsburg was: they took both sets by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12.

Ruby Rengo paced Grantsburg's offense, picking up seven kills. Rengo were helped by Kaylie Moore and Megan Harmon, who contributed eight assists each. Rengo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Grantsburg's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Shell Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-5.

Grantsburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Phillips on the 13th. As for Shell Lake, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Spooner on the 13th.
