Football Recap: Paramus Catholic's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

Paramus Catholic's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 30-16 win over the Red Bank Catholic Caseys. This was payback for the Paladins, who suffered a 42-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Paramus Catholic found their leader in sophomore Rowan Martin, who threw for 157 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 90 yards on only 11 carries. AJ Lopez Jr made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Paramus Catholic's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5. As for Red Bank Catholic, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1.

Looking ahead, Paramus Catholic will face off against Don Bosco Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Ironmen's defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so the Paladins' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Red Bank Catholic, they will challenge Marlboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Caseys are facing the Mustangs at the right time seeing as the Mustangs are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
