Volleyball Recap: Woodside Comes Up Short

Woodside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Warwick Raiders. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-20, 25-13.

Samere Coleman paced Woodside's offense, picking up six kills. Coleman got some help from Jayden Bruce and his 12 assists.

Woodside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Warwick, their win was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Coming up, Woodside will square off against Bethel at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warwick, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Hampton on the 10th.
