Softball Recap: New Albany Takes a Loss

After flying high against Independence last Monday, New Albany came back down to earth. The Bulldogs came up short against the Alcorn Central Bears on Thursday, falling 14-2. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Zakathryn Cameron made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.

New Albany now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Alcorn Central, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Albany will take on Southaven at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Alcorn Central, they will face off against Booneville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
