Cardinal Newman waltzed into their game on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Oxbridge Academy ThunderWolves. That's more bragging rights for the Crusaders, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cardinal Newman was especially dominant in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-18.

Ava Castro paced Cardinal Newman's offense, picking up 11 kills. Castro got some help from Dayana Acevedo and her 19 assists. Olivia Peterson controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Cardinal Newman's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Oxbridge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
