Basketball Recap: Carnegie Wildcats vs. Binger-Oney Bobcats
The Carnegie Wildcats came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Binger-Oney by a score of 44-32 on Tuesday. The win was just what Carnegie needed coming off of a 66-38 loss in their prior contest.
Carnegie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Karlee Tahkofper, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Elvira Lopez, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds.
Carnegie's win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Binger-Oney, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carnegie will take on the at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Olustee/Eldorado is no doubt hoping to put an end to a ten-game streak of away losses. As for Binger-Oney, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Sterling will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
