Basketball Recap: Christian Educational Consortium's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Christian Educational Consortium came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They took down the Brown Bears 55-36 on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Cougars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Christian Educational Consortium to victory were Deven Moore and Hunter Fleming. Moore went 9 of 18 on his way to 25 points, while Fleming posted seven points and nine assists. Those nine assists gave Fleming a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Moore, who had eight points and six boards.

Christian Educational Consortium's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10. As for Brown, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Educational Consortium will venture away from home to take on Oldham County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian Educational Consortium is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.8 points per game this season. As for Brown, they will take on Iroquois at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
