Softball Recap: Wasilla Warriors vs. Redington Huskies

On Friday, Wasilla faced Redington in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Wasilla Warriors never let the Redington Huskies onto the board and left with a 15-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Wasilla considering their one-run performance the game before.

Rylee Harris was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Harris was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Wasilla got a massive performance out of Bay Rose Kauffman, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Lindsey Jensen, who went 2-for-2 with three runs, a triple, and an RBI.

Wasilla's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-16-2. As for Redington, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-21.

Wasilla will head out on the road to challenge Colony at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Redington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palmer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
