Avoyelles Charter made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Monterey, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Avoyelles Charter Vikings were the clear victor by a 10-4 margin over the Monterey Wolves on Thursday. Considering the Vikings have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Lillyan Dauzat spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on nine hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season.
At the plate, Madalyn Guillory was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Annalise Deshotel, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-5.
