Volleyball Game Preview: El Camino Wildcats vs. San Pasqual Golden Eagles

The El Camino Wildcats will take on the San Pasqual Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

El Camino not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 11th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Valley Center. The win continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won five in a row.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times San Pasqual and Fallbrook had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Golden Eagles skirted past the Warriors 3-2. The game was the first time the Golden Eagles have beaten the Warriors on their court since May 20, 2021.

El Camino better focus on containing Roman Saldivar and Niles Palma as the pair were huge in San Pasqual's win. Saldivar had 14 digs and four aces, while Palma had 30 digs and two aces. Saldivar has been hot for a while, having also posted 12 or more assists the last 14 times he's played.

El Camino's victory bumped their record up to 15-19. As for San Pasqual, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-7.
