Soccer Recap: Romeoville Takes a Loss

Romeoville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hinsdale South Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Romeoville of the 9-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Marely Quintana and Analya Salazar Cruz scored both of Romeoville's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Romeoville's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Hinsdale South, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-2.

Romeoville wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Oswego East on the 10th. As for Hinsdale South, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 win against Timothy Christian on the 10th.
