Volleyball Recap: Pflugerville Connally Takes a Loss

Pflugerville Connally lost against Fort Bend Elkins back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars fell 2-0 to the Knights.

While Pflugerville Connally ultimately came up short, they really made Fort Bend Elkins work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-19.

Aniya Toney paced Pflugerville Connally's offense, picking up eight kills. Toney got some help from Caroline Benge and her 12 assists. Teleah Simmons controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Pflugerville Connally's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fort Bend Elkins, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Pflugerville Connally didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Vista Ridge on the 14th. As for Fort Bend Elkins, they have also already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Crockett on the 14th.
