It's playoff time, and Adams Central had no trouble coming through when it counted. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bluffton Tigers on Monday, sneaking past 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Flying Jets sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Jacob Miller was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one double, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Joey Everett was another key player, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
Adams Central's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for Bluffton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-10 record this season.
Adams Central will take on Westview on Saturday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Flying Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Bluffton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
