Volleyball Recap: Normandy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Laurel on Wednesday, Normandy came back down to earth. The Invaders fell just short of the Fairview Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Invaders of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Normandy sadly wound up on the wrong side. The final score came out to 25-21, 24-26, 25-18, 22-25, 15-9.

Normandy dropped their record down to 2-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Fairview, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Normandy will face off against Solon at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Fairview, they will square off against Open Door Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
