Volleyball Recap: Hopewell Comes Up Short

After flying high against West Mecklenburg last Tuesday, Hopewell came back down to earth. Hopewell took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mooresville Blue Devils on Thursday. While the Titans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Blue Devils 25-12 in the first set.

Hopewell actually scored more points across those four sets (92-91), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 12-25, 25-21, 29-27, 25-19.

Hopewell's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Mooresville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Hopewell will take on rival A.L. Brown at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mooresville is set to challenge their familiar foe North Mecklenburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
