Soccer Game Preview: Fulshear vs. Lamar

The Fulshear Chargers will square off against the Lamar Texans at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Fulshear fell victim to Cedar Park and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Lamar entered their tilt with North Shore on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 1-0 shutout. The Texans' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three matchups.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Nahomy Portillo, who's now up to three this season.

Lamar's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those three contests. As for Fulshear, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
