Charles City scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 28-18 to the West Point Pointers. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it five in a row.

Damian Barnes and Jackson Koch did some serious damage despite the final result: Barnes went 2-for-4 with seven stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI, while Koch went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Barnes is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Damian Zuidema, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with five stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Charles City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for West Point, their record now sits at 2-9.

Looking ahead, Charles City will square off against King & Queen Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Point, they will take on Middlesex at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pointers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chargers have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
