Volleyball Game Preview: Atherton Wolverines vs. Genesee Wolves

The Atherton Wolverines will face off against the Genesee Wolves at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atherton will be strutting in after a victory while Genesee will be coming in after a defeat.

Atherton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past Beecher 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Wolverines in their matchups with the Buccaneers: they've now won six in a row.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Atherton took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-13, 25-1.

Meanwhile, Genesee came up short against Morrice on Saturday and fell 2-0. The Wolves have struggled against the Orioles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Atherton's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Genesee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
