Volleyball Recap: Soddy Daisy Comes Up Short

Soddy Daisy lost against Cleveland back in September of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Trojans came up short against the Blue Raiders, falling 3-0. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Leah Morgan paced Soddy Daisy's offense, picking up seven kills. Morgan got some help from Wetherly Barker and her nine assists.

Leading Cleveland to victory were Jordan Sheffield and Claire Lambert. Sheffield had 15 digs and three assists, while Lambert had three digs and two aces. That's the most assists Sheffield has posted over her last ten contests.

Soddy Daisy now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Cleveland, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-18.

Soddy Daisy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cleveland, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Bradley Central on the 13th.
