Basketball Recap: Woodinville Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Woodinville Falcons came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders and fell 58-47. The game marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Roosevelt got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elliot (EJ) Sommers out in front who posted 14 points. Anthony Washington was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Woodinville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Roosevelt, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodinville will host Liberty at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Liberty will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Woodinville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Roosevelt, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Garfield at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 games -- so hopefully Roosevelt likes a good challenge.
