Basketball Game Preview: Corvian Community Cardinals vs. Pine Lake Prep Pride

The Corvian Community Cardinals will square off against the Pine Lake Prep Pride at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Corvian Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.

On Friday, Corvian Community didn't have too much trouble with Mountain Island Charter as they won 75-60. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Raptors: they've now won seven in a row.

Corvian Community found their leader in sophomore RJ Moore Jr., who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. Andre Jackson Jr. was another key player, putting up ten points in addition to seven assists and four steals.

Corvian Community smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 14 consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 74-45 win over Langtree Charter Academy. The Pride have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Corvian Community's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. As for Pine Lake Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.
