Baseball Game Preview: Danville Warriors vs. McCutcheon Mavericks

The Danville Warriors are taking a road trip to take on the McCutcheon Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Wednesday, Danville didn't have quite enough to beat Western Boone and fell 4-2.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for McCutcheon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over North Central on Thursday. With that win, the Mavericks brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Zayne Newgent was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one run. That run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Mekyel Almond, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

McCutcheon's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9.
