Football Recap: Northwest Mustangs vs. St. Paul Lutheran Saints
After losing to St. Paul Lutheran the last time they met, Northwest decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northwest Mustangs breezed by the St. Paul Lutheran Saints on the road to the tune of 68-31 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.
Leading Northwest to victory were Dane Palmer and Connor Thorp. Palmer rushed for 141 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry, while Thorp rushed for 144 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for St. Paul Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Northwest will be defending their home-field for the first time this season they go up against Concordia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
