Twin Loup better keep an eye on Dane Duryea. He was instrumental in Anselmo-Merna's win, rushing for 296 yards and six scores while picking up 9.9 yards per carry, and also throwing for 75 yards and one TD. Those six rushing touchdowns gave Duryea a new career-high. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Colin Wright, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Twin Loup's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Anselmo-Merna, their victory bumped their record up to 5-1.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Twin Loup has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 193.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Anselmo-Merna struggles in that department as they've been averaging 233 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Twin Loup strolled past Anselmo-Merna in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 38-20. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Duryea, who rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 56 yards and one TD.
