Softball Recap: Tarkington Comes Up Short

Tarkington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks, falling 21-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 back in March.

Aniah Hyde made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. That run marked the first that she scored this season. Another player making a difference was Savannah West, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Tarkington's record is now 2-17. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-16.

Tarkington has already played their next match (against Hardin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Hardin-Jefferson, they will venture away from home to take on Hamshire-Fannett at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Hawks are facing the Longhorns at the right time seeing as the Longhorns are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
