Basketball Game Preview: Colchester Lakers vs. Milton Yellowjackets

The Colchester Lakers will take on the Milton Yellowjackets in a holiday battle at at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Last Wednesday, Colchester lost to St. Johnsbury Academy at home by a 59-40 margin. The loss was the Lakers' first of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 67 points the game before, Milton was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were outmatched by Bellows Free Academy and fell 60-23. The Yellowjackets haven't had much luck with the Bobwhites/Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Milton's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Colchester, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Everything went Colchester's way against Milton in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, as Colchester made off with a 65-42 win. Does Colchester have another victory up their sleeve, or will Milton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
