Basketball Recap: Hamilton County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hamilton County can now relate to. They took a blow against the Hilliard Red Flashes on Thursday, falling 74-30. The Trojans have struggled against the Red Flashes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Alyssa Hallman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hilliard, going 10 of 18 on her way to 23 points and eight boards. That's the most points Hallman has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kailyn Ballance, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Hamilton County's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Hilliard, their win bumped their record up to 15-8.

Hamilton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hilliard, they will challenge Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Lafayette will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Hilliard surely won't give up without a fight.
