Soccer Recap: Mchenry Extends Winning Streak to Three

While McHenry's victory against Joliet Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Warriors skirted past the Steelmen 1-0. The final result isn't all that surprising considering McHenry's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Joliet Central are ranked 150th).

The win was the third in a row for McHenry, bringing their record up to 6-2-1. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matches. As for Joliet Central, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Coincidentally, McHenry and Joliet Central will both be playing Harlem the next time they take the pitch. The Steelmen will head out to face the Huskies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 1:30 p.m.
