Softball Recap: Lancaster Eagles vs. Palmdale Falcons

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lancaster). They put the hurt on the Palmdale Falcons with a sharp 26-1 win on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Cassandra Velasquez made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and not a single walk). Velasquez was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. She also got two hits, marking her first of the season.
