Basketball Recap: Appalachian Takes a Loss

If Appalachian was riding high fresh off their 73-41 takedown of Jefferson Christian Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Appalachian Eagles fell 54-43 to the Spring Garden Panthers on Saturday. The Eagles have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Appalachian's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Spring Garden, the win keeps them at an undefeated 25-0.

Appalachian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 66-44 victory against Cold Springs on the 27th. Spring Garden has also already played their next game (against Cedar Bluff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
