Softball Recap: Stover Bulldogs vs. Versailles Tigers
Stover couldn't beat Versailles on Monday even though they stacked six runs on them in the third inning. The Bulldogs fell 15-11 to the Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 17-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.
Gabriell Sidebottom was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Shariana Martin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Stover has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Versailles, their victory ended a 12-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-14.
