Baseball Preview: Hancock County Indians vs. Cosby Eagles

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cosby). They put the hurt on Cordia with a sharp 20-3 victory on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Jackson Brannon was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Matthew McMahan was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Cosby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .594. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cordia only posted an OBP of .350.
Cosby's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12-1. As for Hancock County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
