Alpaugh extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Monday, dropping their season record down to 0-9 in the process. They lost 11-1 to the Legacy Christian Academy Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-0 back in March.

As for Legacy Christian Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5-1. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won six contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Legacy Christian Academy's part, Chase Newlen made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts Newlen has posted since back in March. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Parker Kirstine was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Max Gaskins also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Looking ahead, Alpaugh will venture away from home to square off against Laton at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Legacy Christian Academy, they will welcome Kennedy at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
