It's playoff time, and Chester had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Blacksburg Wildcats 50-6. That 44 point margin sets a new team best for the Cyclones this season.

Chester's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Darriyarn Baxley led the charge by rushing for 88 yards and one TD. Those 88 rushing yards gave Baxley a new career-high. Hudhaifah Taylor was in the mix too, providing Chester with two scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Chester was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 332 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Blacksburg only rushed for 121.

Chester has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.7 points over those games. As for Blacksburg, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coming up, Chester will take on Batesburg-Leesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cyclones will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last five matchups. Blacksburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
