Volleyball Recap: Woodlands Academy Wildcats vs. Latin Romans

Woodlands Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Latin Romans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15.

Dyana Santoyo paced Woodlands Academy's offense, picking up four kills. Santoyo also shared the team's lead in assists with Emmy Seliga: they picked up two each. Chloe Mensah controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Woodlands Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Latin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

After both having extra time off, Woodlands Academy and Christian Life will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Woodlands Academy is facing Christian Life at the right time seeing as Christian Life is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Latin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
